Empowering Curiosity
The Academy for Science, Technology & Communication (ASTC) has a rich history rooted in the collaborative efforts of science enthusiasts and academic representatives dating back to 2004. Initiated by Sri S. Kapardheswer former Assistant Director of Commissionerate of School Education, the academy aimed to promote science popularization and communication. Dr. J. Koneti Rao, a notable Popular Science Writer, was instrumental in the early discussions and played a key role in ASTC's inaugural activity.
The journey of ASTC, began formally with a lecture titled "Science Communication and Scientific Temper," delivered by Dr. J. Koneti Rao on October 1, 2004, at Bala Bharathi High School, Ramanthapur in Hyderabad. This event marked the initial step in ASTC's mission to promote scientific temper and enhance science communication among the public.
